EXPERIENCE
I am a gay psychotherapist with experience working with LGBTQ+ clients across the lifespan, from teenagers through to adults in their 60s and beyond. Alongside this, I work with people of all sexual orientations and gender identities, and I hold a strong commitment to providing therapy that is inclusive, respectful, and non-pathologising.

My work has included supporting clients around identity exploration, relationships, anxiety, self-worth, life transitions, and the impact of past experiences. I am particularly mindful of how social context, family systems, culture, and lived experience shape the way people relate to themselves and others.

While I am experienced in working with LGBTQ+ clients, I don’t approach people through fixed labels or assumptions. Instead, I focus on the individual in front of me: their values, patterns, strengths, and what they are wanting to shift or understand more deeply. My approach is relational and collaborative, allowing space for curiosity, nuance, and complexity rather than fitting experiences into predefined categories.

My work is predominantly informed by relational and Gestalt approaches, emphasising collaboration, curiosity, and emotional presence in the therapeutic relationship. I also draw on evidence-informed tools from somatic awareness, relational attachment theory, and contextual cognitive strategies to help clients build insight, resilience and sustainable change.

Therapy With Me
My approach to therapy gestalt-informed. What is gestalt? In short, it an approach that is relational, collaborative, and grounded in the present moment. I aim to create a space where you feel safe enough to slow down, reflect, and explore what’s happening for you: both in your inner world and in your relationships.

I don’t see therapy as something that is “done to” you. Instead, we work together with curiosity and respect, paying attention to what emerges in the room and what feels most alive or challenging for you. Sessions are paced carefully, and we return often to what feels supportive, manageable, and meaningful.

While our conversations may involve understanding past experiences, much of our work focuses on how those experiences show up in your life now, such as in your body, emotions, thoughts, and relationships.

Clients often come to me for support with:
-
anxiety, stress, and emotional overwhelm
-
low self-worth, self-criticism, or shame
-
relationship and attachment patterns
-
identity exploration and life transitions
-
navigating intimacy, dating, or break-ups
-
feeling stuck, disconnected, or unsure of direction
-
the impact of past experiences on present-day life
-
navigating a 'straight' world as a queer person

What therapy might sound like
Rather than following a rigid structure, I often invite reflection and awareness through gentle inquiry. Questions you may hear might include:
-
What are you noticing in your body right now?
-
What happens for you when you say that out loud?
-
What feels most important about this for you today?
-
Where do you notice that in your body?
-
What feels familiar about this pattern?
These kinds of questions help us build awareness and deepen understanding, allowing new choices and responses to emerge over time.

CONTACT
Let’s connect to see if we’re a good fit.
I usually begin with a short introductory call so we can check if the timing works for both of us and discuss what you’re looking for from therapy. This helps make sure it feels comfortable before committing to sessions.

Fees for sessions are $130.

Weekly and fortnightly therapy is available.
I work with clients both in-person in Melbourne, and online, and have experience supporting people across different locations and time zones.
